Mazingira Management and Training Institute
(MMTI)
MMTI is the training arm of Mazingira Consultants. Training
is undertaken in collaboration with Ndallahwa and Company,
a group of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants.
Objectives
The overall objective of MMTI is to provide high quality
and cost efficient training programmes to a wide clientele
base in order to assist government departments, the private
sector, local and regional communities, Non-governmental Organisations
(NGOs) and Community Based Organisations worldwide to achieve
their development objectives. Course participants are empowered
to respond effectively to user demands in their respective
employments.
The main thrust of the courses is sustainable development
hence a wide spectrum of disciplines are covered. Capacity
building (training) is one of the most important aspects of
human resources development as it facilitates the transition
to a more sustainable world. At MMTI, we promote a flexible
and adaptable workforce of various ages equipped to meet growing
challenges for sustainable development. Our training programmes
facilitate the transfer of new, environmentally sound, socially
acceptable and appropriate technology and know-how.
Our course facilitators are drawn from experienced staff
of diverse backgrounds who balance the theoretical and practical
requirements of each course such that there is always "value-added"
to the course offerings. For most courses, case studies are
derived from shared experiences of course participants. As
a result participants share best practices in all functional
management areas. Courses have a job-specific focus aimed
at filling gaps in knowledge and skills in the different working
environments.
We cannot claim to meet all job-specific requirements, but
we have in the past, fulfilled special needs requests, which
have broadened our training spectrum and provided gratifying
feedback to our clients. We therefore encourage our clients
to indicate to us their training needs for mutual benefit.
